Current Funding Needs 2. Student Faith Formation An Annual Gift of $11,000 or A Contribution to Establish a $275,000 Endowment Fund As the only Catholic Christian University in the Holy Land, Bethlehem University plays a significant role in conjunction with the Latin Patriarchate and other Christian Churches in the faith formation and leadership development of Christians in the Holy Land . The University has a four-year Bachelors degree program with a major and a minor in Religious Studies – and conducts outreach training and upgrading Professional Diploma programs for teachers in the schools. The University also facilitates the faith formation of Christian students through a variety of faith sharing, prayer, retreats, leadership, and spiritual development activities with the Christian Student Youth Group (Shabebeih) and Student Choir. The University seeks $11,000 on an annual basis to maintain and enhance its Christian faith formation and leadership development activities with retreats, leadership and faith formation training, dialogue forums, etc., designed to strengthen the vitality of the Christian atmosphere at Bethlehem University and throughout the Holy Land , and to also promote inter-religious dialogue and mutual respect.
