Digital Media Training Complete
Institute for Community Partnership Graduation Held

On Thursday, 13 November 2003, the Institute for Community Partnership held a graduation ceremony for 39 persons who received training in digital media. A five-week training course introducing PhotoShop and Multimaker was offered to the Bethlehem University community by faculty and students from Finland's Turku Unit of Diaconia Polytechnic. Mr. Tapio Kujala, Director of the Diaconia Polytechnic, planned and supervised training. One practical outcome of the training course was the production of a CD to be used to instruct incoming first year students about the University Library as part of their orientation to campus resources.

Dr. Hind Salman, Director of the Institute for Community Partnership, announced that a second phase of training will be offered in video editing around February 2004. Brother Neil Kieffe, Director of Instructional Technology, thanked Finland's Diaconia Polytechnic, Mr. Tapio Kujala and all the trainers. Mr. Kujala expressed delight on the opportunity of being in Bethlehem University and spoke of his hopes regarding future additional cooperation.
