Al-Budeiri Nursing Prize Awarded to Outstanding Students

On Thursday, October 23, 2003, the Fareedeh Abu Dayyeh Al-Budeiri Nursing Prize was awarded to Mohammad Jaber and Maha Rjoub, both honor students who graduated from Bethlehem University in July 2003. Mr. Adel Al-Budeiri awarded the Prize on behalf of his uncle Jamil Al-Budeiri. Each year since 1995, the Prize is awarded to two outstanding nursing students. So far 10 students received the Prize of $1,000 each, except this year whereby two students received $500 each.

The Award Ceremony was attended by Brother Jack Curran, Vice President for Development; Mr. Mahmoud Breigheeth, Dean of Students; and some 200 guests, students, and teachers. Ms. Maha Fatho, Dean of Nursing, commented on the celebration: "This is a much appreciated Prize. We are happy because there are donors in our country who are doing good to distinguished students in appreciation of their efforts."
