Schools, Father
Ray Webb, AFSC
On
Sunday, 29 February 2004, Father Ray Webb
was affiliated to the Institute of the Brothers of
the Christian Schools. Father Ray is a priest of
the Archdiocese of Chicago who has spent most of
his priestly life in the formation of candidates
to the priesthood. He is currently the Vice President
for Academic Affairs of the University of St. Mary
of the Lake at Mundelein, Illinois, the seminary
for the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Fr. Ray Webb has been
closely connected with and continuously supportive
of Bethlehem University from its founding in 1973.
He has taught consecutively in every summer session
held at Bethlehem University, lived in community with
the Brothers, presided over daily liturgies, and participated
fully in the life and ministry of the Brothers.
Father Ray has been mentor
to young teachers and assisted many on the Bethlehem
University faculty in their research projects. Father
Ray is known and respected by his Bethlehem University
students past and present.
As a highly esteemed priest of the Archdiocese
of Chicago, and a person that has embodied the Lasallian
spirit of commitment to the education of Palestinian
youth, the Brothers are honored to welcome Father Ray
as an Affiliate Brother.
