On
Thursday, 19 February, Mr. Yves Couvreur,
Head of Belgian Technical Cooperation, visited Bethlehem
University, along with Ms. Mona Matta, Senior Program
Officer. This year Belgian Technical Cooperation
implemented the Local Scholarship Program funded
by the Government of Belgium, which provided 26 scholarships
to needy students at the University. This contribution
is assisting the University in its capacity building
efforts for Palestinian youth.
Mr. Couvreur and Ms. Matta met Brother
Vincent Malham, President-Vice Chancellor; Brother
Jack Curran, Vice President for Development; and the
Bethlehem University students receiving the scholarship.
The students thanked the Government of Belgium for
its help, without which they could not have pursued
their higher education at Bethlehem University.
