Cooperation
with Finland in Digital Media Training
As part of the University's effort
to strengthen the technological skills of faculty
and staff, 24 members of the Bethlehem University
community completed their training in Premier and
Digital Media, as continuation of a course offered
in October – December 2003 in PhotoShop and Multimaker.
Now an additional group of 24 persons will start
their training as of next week. These courses are
part of a cooperation agreement with Diakonia Polytechnic,
funded by the Government of Finland.
During the course lasting for
four weeks, trainers from Finland, along with Mr.
Tapio Kujala, Director of the Diakonia Polytechnic
and Group Leader, worked with members of the Bethlehem
University community on the full production of
videos. An introductory film was produced about
the De La Salle Christian Brothers, while other
trainees worked on a video tour of Bethlehem University.
A virtual tour of the religious, cultural, and
historic sites in Bethlehem was also produced for Turathuna ,
the University's Palestinian Heritage Center.
