On January 5, 2004 , the Fall 2003 semester and exams were completed on schedule. This was a good semester with little interruptions, something rather unusual given the political instability in the Holy Land . Checkpoints around Bethlehem continue to remain a serious hindrance, causing much delay and suffering to students, faculty, and staff coming to Bethlehem .
Exams went well and the grades will be distributed January 15 - 20, 2004 , at the same time when registration for the Spring 2004 semester will take place. There are approximately 2,100 students enrolled in Bethlehem University .
Despite the difficult conditions and the seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Bethlehem University , now celebrating its 30 year, is an oasis of hope for young Palestinians. Completing the semester on time is not an easy matter. That was possible because of the determination and courage of all involved including the donors who are extending a helping hand.
