Various Organizations in
Rimini, Italy, Sign Cooperation Agreement with
Bethlehem University and the Beit Sahour Municipality
On Friday, 2 April, Bethlehem University signed
a cooperation agreement whereby two students graduating
from Hotel Management will pursue their M.A. degrees
at the University of Rimini, Italy, as part of an
initiative that will foster peaceful coexistence
and respect for human rights.
Brother Vincent Malham, President-Vice Chancellor,
signed on behalf of Bethlehem University, along with
Prof. Cesare Mangianti, President of the Rimini Town
Council; Dr. Antonella Beltrami, Counselor for Equal
Opportunity; Dr. Luciano Chicchi, for the University
of Rimini; and Mr. Renzo Gradara, for the Diocese
Caritas of Rimini. The Beit Sahour Municipality is
partner to this cooperation agreement, and was represented
in the signing ceremony by Mr. Fouad Kokali, Mayor
of Beit Sahour and alumnus of Bethlehem University.
As part of this Agreement, Bethlehem University
and the Beit Sahour Municipality will identify and
select students who will pursue their M.A. through
a scholarship offered by the University of Rimini.
The Diocese Caritas of Rimini will provide full board,
accommodation, and lodgings, and the Municipality
of Rimini will provide transpiration and books.
