Social Sciences Department Hosting its Alumni

On Friday 21 May, 140 alumni and current and former faculty members of the Social Sciences Department came together for an Alumni Open Day. Despite the political instability, military siege and incursions, finally the event took place after it was postponed several times.

A team from the faculty and students of the Social Sciences Department organized the Alumni Open Day. In her remarks during the opening ceremony, Dr. Norma Masriyeh-Hazboun, Chair of the Social Sciences Department, called on alumni to offer their suggestions on how to strengthen ties with Bethlehem University.

Events of the Open Day included a discussion session in which alumni discussed their practical experience since graduation, work opportunities, difficulties, accomplishments, and the important skills and capabilities they acquired in Bethlehem University.

Mr. Omar Kana'neh, part-time Faculty ember in the Department of Social Sciences, provided a musical interlude on the violin, accompanied by Mr. Mahmoud Abu Kamal (1996 Social Work).
