Official Dedication of the Palestinian Heritage Center: Turathuna

The Center for Palestinian Heritage: Turtahuna, was officially dedicated on 1 June 2004. Brother Vincent Malham, President-Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Niall Holohan, Head of the Representative Office of Ireland, cut the ribbon. Members of the faculty and staff attended the ceremony, along with the Board of Trustees, area school principals, and friends of Bethlehem University from the local community including those who contributed their time, talent, and resources to the realization of this endeavor.

In his opening remarks Brother Vincent thanked the Government of Ireland and Dr. Niall Holohan, and he stated that the Center will foster Bethlehem University's outreach activities and links with local community, as it is designed to be an interactive educational resource for people of all ages from the local and international community.

Dr. Niall Holohan expressed Ireland's willingness to forge deeper ties with Bethlehem University and expressed his delight to be part of this dedication ceremony. (Click here for full text of the remarks made by Dr. Holohan).
