University Technicians Receive Training in Finland
Mike (Chemistry '02) and Minerva (English '98), the two technicians from the Digital Media Center, traveled to Diakonia Polytechnic, Finland, from 18 – 30 May 2004 , for training on the latest software in video editing and digital media. Mike and Minerva attended classes, and visited two broadcasting stations in Finland where they learned first-hand how to use Avid Express Pro for Video Editing and other state-of-the-art video editing software and techniques. This training has prepared Mike and Minerva to use the new computer now available for such purposes at Bethlehem University's Digital Media Center.

Besides participating in the training courses, while in Finland Mike and Minerva explored various social and cultural aspects of life there. The students they met in Diakonia Polytechnic were very friendly, inviting them to visit their homes, and preparing dishes from Finland for them, and they were also taken to see the Turku Cathedral Church.
In addition, Mike and Minerva met the Principal of the Christian Institute in Turku, and they were interviewed on the radio and in newspapers about experience in Finland.
