Survey on the Social Conditions of B.U. Students

June 30, 2004 . Final preparations are underway in Bethlehem University to carry out a social survey of all the students. The aim is to collect data and indicators to respond more accurately to the questions raised by external sources, such as the Ministry of Education and private institutions that provide financial aid to the University.

During the academic year 2003/2004 a University committee prepared the final draft of the survey. The survey will take place during summer school for all the registered students so data will be collected from approximately 50% of Bethlehem University students before the Fall 2004 semester begins.

Next semester during orientation the survey will be administered to all incoming students, and the remaining students will be covered during the early part of the Fall 2004 semester. Bethlehem University is planning to complete the survey by October 2004.

All future financial aid programs will rely on information available in the Social Survey Data Base, which will hopefully lead to a more accurate allocation of financial aid to the most needy students.
