British Clergy Visit Bethlehem University
On Monday, January 17, 2005, Bethlehem University hosted Bishop Michael Evans, of the Dioceses of East Anglia, U.K., and Father Paul Maddison. The guests met Brother Vincent Malham, President-Vice Chancellor, in his Office, and he briefed them about Bethlehem University. Bishop Evans and Father Paul met in Bethlehem Hall with Brother Jack Curran, Vice President for Development, and Sami El-Yousef, Vice President for Finances and Planning, and they saw a Multimedia Presentation about the accomplishments and challenges of Bethlehem University in the Holy Land.
The guests toured the campus with Brother David Scarpa, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and students: Rawan Khatir, Ameer Baboun, and Shahinda Abu Farha. Bishop Evans and Father Paul visited the Chapel and saw the frescos there, then they proceeded to the Amphitheater where they saw the view of Bethlehem area, and concluded by visiting the Palestinian Heritage Center: Turathuna.
