Young Volunteers Visit Bethlehem University
On Friday, 28 January, Bethlehem University hosted 30 young volunteers from the Jerusalem YMCA. The visitors, between the age of 15 and 17 years old, are touring organizations in the West Bank that serve the local community, and they are learning how they can help their own society.
The volunteers attended a Multimedia Presentation in Arabic about Bethlehem University and its mission, and they met Bethlehem University students: Saher Al-Sous, Rawan Khatir, and Lara Khamis, who spoke about Bethlehem University and how it prepares them for the future. The BU students hosted the guests on a campus tour.
The young volunteers met Dr. Khader Musleh, Chairman of the Department of Social Sciences. He spoke to them about the importance of social service and how they can be more attentive and open to other people and their social needs.
