Memorial Mass Held for Msgr. Fuglister in Bethlehem University

On Friday, 4 February, Mass was celebrated in Bethlehem University in memory of Monsignor Robert Fuglister, at about the same time that Monsignor’s Mass of Resurrection and interment was taking place in Basel, Switzerland. Father Iyad Twal, of the Latin Seminary in Beit Jala, was the celebrant. Members of the faculty, staff, students, and De La Salle Christian Brothers, came to pay tribute to Monsignor Robert Fuglister who gave so much to Bethlehem University over the course of many years.

Brother Vincent Malham, President-Vice Chancellor, spoke about the late Monsignor Fuglister, and described him as a unique, wonderful, and strong friend of the University, who was instrumental in helping Bethlehem University in so many different ways.
Brother Vincent said that “Bethlehem University has lost a wonderful friend but has gained a powerful intercessor in heaven.” Brother Vincent concluded his remarks by saying that the legacy of the late Monsignor Fuglister should last forever.
