Training Course on
“Strategic Restructuring for Private Palestinian Enterprises”
On Wednesday, 9 February, a training course started in Bethlehem University on “Strategic Restructuring for Private Palestinian Enterprises.” The course is offered by Financial Markets International, a US Consulting firm. USAID is funding the training. Nine trainees will attend from the marble and stone industry in the Bethlehem area, and they will attend one training session each week for three weeks. The participants are administrative directors and senior officers. The training course will help them improve their companies’ financial situation, by helping them define appropriate strategies, administrative tools, and competitive edge. Additionally, the business officers will receive training on an Excel-based software that can assess their current financial position, where they want to be in the future, and how to plan for bridging any existing gaps and to address weaknesses. The last part of the course is training the trainers, so as to ensure sustainability. Participants will go to the field and offer training to their colleagues in their respective companies. Training will be offered by Khaled Qutob, Financial Restructuring Program Manager; Osama Kasbari, Capital Market Specialist; and Dr. Demir Yener, Senior Financial Advisor.
