Science fair 2006

On 17 and 18 March 2006, the Faculty of Science, as part of its endeavor to strengthen its outreach activities, held a Science Fair for high school students from the local community.

Bethlehem University students from the Faculty of Science conducted practical experiments, science illustrations, and demonstrations in environmental chemistry, water and soil, biology, mathematics and computers. High schools students were especially impressed with the biology and biotechnology experiments, industrial chemistry demonstrations. The Department of Mathematics prepared posters and video displays about the activities of the Department and Bethlehem University.

Approximately 1,400 high school students and their teachers attended the Fair, coming from 29 local high schools in the Bethlehem area including the surrounding villages and refugee camps. More than 150 Bethlehem University students and 25 faculty and staff members from the Faculty of Science conducted the Science Fair.
