Bethlehem University welcomed Archbishop Patrick Kelly

On Monday 29 May, 2006, Bethlehem University welcomed the Most Reverend Patrick Kelly, Archbishop of Liverpool, UK. A Mass of Thanksgiving was held at the University Chapel, presided by his Excellency Archbishop Kelly and assisted by Father Peter DuBrul.
In His Homily, Archbishop Kelly stressed the role of Bethlehem University as the source of light in the midst of complete darkness. He said that no matter how difficult the situation, do not let darkness control your spirit. In the words of Archbishop Kelly “If you remain faithful to the slain lamb, you are always victorious”
Brother Daniel Casey, Vice Chancellor, welcomed Archbishop Kelly and expressed gratitude to the Archbishop and the Diocese of Liverpool for their generous support of Bethlehem University. And he emphasized the message of Archbishop Kelly by saying “ It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness”.
In Conclusion Br. Daniel invited faculty, staff and students to the Millennium Lounge for a dialogue on the current situation in the Holy Land with Archbishop Kelly.
