Peace Cycle Group Visited Bethlehem University

Part of their tour in Palestine , the Peace Cycle Group visited Bethlehem University on Wednesday 13 September 2006 . The Peace Cycle is a voluntarily organised bicycle ride from London to Jerusalem . As it crossed Europe it took with it a message of solidarity and hope for a just peace for all people in the Middle East and beyond. Their mission is to encourage people from all over the world to take part in a peaceful demonstration to bring an end to the cycle of violence and begin a cycle of peace in the Middle East .

The Peace Cycle Group visit was organized by Mr. Michael Awad, faculty member at Bethlehem University . Dr. Nael Abdel Rahman, Dean of Students, together with Mr. Michael Awad, students, faculty and staff welcomed the group at Bethlehem University and they expressed their appreciation to the Peace Cycle Group for including the University in their tour.
