Chapel of the Divine Child Hosts University’s Christmas Celebrations

Solemn and impressive with the joyful sound of the Choir and with lights sparkling everywhere, the Chapel of the Divine Child hosted the Midnight Mass celebrations with friends and supporters of Bethlehem University.  Brother Daniel Casey, Vice Chancellor, started the occasion by thanking individuals who continue to generously give of themselves to help the University carry out its vision, and wishing everyone a blissful and peaceful Christmas.       

In his homily, His Excellency Archbishop Antonio France, Apostolic Delegate to Jerusalem and Palestine and Chancellor of Bethlehem University, conveyed words of support and prayer from His Holiness Pope Benedict to the Christians of the Holy Land.  He also thanked Bethlehem University’s benefactors saying “by assisting Bethlehem University you are keeping the light of hope aflame”.

The Midnight Mass was celebrated by the Mundelein Seminary group from Chicago as well.  The Seminarians brought a lot of joy and excitement through their singing and dancing at the Christmas reception which followed Mass.
