Canadian Knights Visit Bethlehem University
In spite of all troubles we are facing, we, at Bethlehem University, remain connected to our friends around the world. Our friends keep visiting us to express their support and solidarity. Last week, Tuesday, June 12, the Canadian Knights of the Holy Sepulcher, visited the University to learn more about the situation.
After being welcomed by Br. Daniel Casey, the Vice Chancellor, the guests watched a DVD presentation about the history of the University, and participated in a discussion with some of the University students and staff members. The heard from students the different experiences they face in their daily academic life, especially coming and going to and from the University everyday.
After the discussion, the students showed the guests the University’s gardens, buildings and other facilities. The most significant facility was the Heritage Center, located in the University’s library in which there are some samples of traditional tools, implements and clothing, etc. to exhibit the Palestinian history and culture.
