Preparations Under Way
for Religious Conference at Bethlehem University
The Religious Studies Department at Bethlehem University is gearing up for its first international religious conference on September 5-9, 2007. “Christian-Muslim Relations: Exploring the Middle East and the West” will bring together academics, professionals and the general public to analyze and discuss the experience of Christians and Muslims in the Middle East and the West and to promote values of co-existence. At a time when relations between people of all religions and ethnicities are being challenged, it is imperative that civil society takes a stand and initiates an informed and meaningful dialogue. Facing these challenges is key to a more certain and peaceful future. The conference is supported by the Friends of Bethlehem University (FoBU) in the UK and in cooperation with the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU). We look forward to welcoming you very soon.
