MAYOR OF GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN VISITS FORMER HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL.

On Wednesday, 17 th October, the 41 st Mayor of the City of Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA, James Schmitt, and his wife Dona visited Bethlehem University . They specifically came to visit with Brother Cyril Litecky, FSC, Assistant to the Vice Chancellor.

Before coming to Bethlehem University in July 1984, Brother Cyril served in a number of educational leadership capacities in the United States , one of which was as the Principal at Roncalli High School in Manitowoc , Wisconsin . From 1972 through 1976, James Schmitt was a student at Roncalli High School and Brother Cyril was the Principal. As Mayor Schmitt was in Jerusalem for a meeting of mayors from various cities around the world, he and his wife wanted to take some time to be with his former Principal and friend, Brother Cyril. They toured the Bethlehem University campus, met with students and had wonderful lunch with Brothers Cyril and Jack during which the Mayor and his former high school Principal shred stories and memories of many classmates and family members. The mayor presented to Brother Cyril the ceremonial key to the city of Green Bay , Wisconsin . Likewise, Brother Cyril presented the Mayor and his wife Dona with some remembrance gifts of the University and the Holy Land .
