Lasalle Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (LCEI) conducted a training workshop titled "ICT Entrepreneurship and Innovation Workshop" to a number of Bethlehem University ICT and Business graduates. This workshop is part of the project "Enhancing the BU Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program-Towards Market-Driven and Job Creation Program" funded by the World Bank and EC. The workshop was conducted at ICP premises, and spanned over the period of five full days (40 contact hours). The workshop started on July 15th and was concluded on July 26th.
The 20 Participants were introduced to the concept of ICT entrepreneurship and innovation. The following topics were covered during the workshop:
Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Marketing ICT Innovations
Business Planning
Intellectual Property (IP), and how to Protect your Innovation
ICT Project Management
Venture Capital and Investment
During the workshop, the participants were divided into several groups and encouraged to start thinking of creative and viable ICT ideas that can be converted into a successful business. They were also trained on how to prepare a successful business plan for their ideas, pitch their ideas to investors, and how to apply for the upcoming Business Plan Contest to be launched during the month of August.
