  • Improving Drinking Water Supply & Quality and Developing a Hydrology Program. “This grant upgrades the flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer with a graphite furnace. Seeks to improve the supply & quality of drinking water and sanitation management by reusing wastewater for agricultural irrigation and lastly to develop a hydrological model of the local aquifers”. 6/1992 - 12/1994, $100,000.

  • Monitoring & Screening the quality of the Drinking Water in the West Bank and Gaza. The grant monitors THM, heavy metals, microbiology, Chemical and Physical parameters of drinking water from aquifers, springs, wells, and cisterns. Awarded by AMIDEAST with A. Winka 7/1991 - 9/1993, $5,000.

  • Effect of Chemical and manure fertilizers on the Ferrous symptoms in grapes. Awarded by AMIDEAST with Dr. F.Bannoura.$7000 1993.

  • Assessing the Value of Animals Manure's as a Means of Economically Increasing the Availability of Iron in Fields. Awarded by AMIDEAST with A. Winka 7/1991 - 9/1993, $ 7,000.

  • A proposal for the Upgrading of the Wastewater Monitoring Services Available to the Local Community. The grant established the capability to monitor several small waste-water package treatment units built or being built in the local area, thereby monitoring their operation and maximizing their performance. Awarded by CRS with A. Winka 6/1990, $5,000.

  • Creating a data Base to Monitor the quality of Drinking Water in the Bethlehem District. The grant established a water testing laboratory at Bethlehem University. From here a data base was started to monitor the drinking water in the towns and villages of the Bethlehem Water District. Awarded by AMIDEAST, with A. Winka 10/1989-11/1990, $5,000.
