Bethlehem University Wins Two Games Against Birzeit University and the Friends School in Basketball and Soccer

Ramallah – On the occasion of the Arab Women Sports Day, on Saturday, 28 February, the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Ramallah held a basketball game and a soccer game for women.
The first game took place Bethlehem University and Birzeit. Bethlehem University won 58- 57. From the Bethlehem University team the following students did very well: Shireen Jazrawi, Lourdes Zeidan, and Ghada Abu Roumman. From the Birzeit team Sandra Hamadeh and Rawya Abu Laban did very well: Referees were Fouad Kan’an and Bassam Thabet.
Bethlehem University won the second game against the Friends School in a 5-player soccer game. Bethlehem University won 7- 0. The game took place in the Friends Playground. The scoring record of Bethlehem University female athletes was 2 points each for Hain Thaljiyeh, Tala Abu Abed, Maryan Barakeh, and 1 point for Jacqueline Jazrawi. Referees were Anan Walid, and Jawad Asy. Omar Barghouthi kept the log.
The awards were distributed by: Nimer Atiyeh and Rana Abu Yousef, from the Ramallah Directorate of Youth and Sports; Abdul-Rahman Nuairat and Mufid Abdallah from the Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports; and Taysir Jaber, journalist.
The games were supervised by Omar Barghouthi, Rana Abu Yousef, Khaled Abdallah, Mufid Abdallah, and Jawad Asy.
