Ireland Aid Continues Commitment to Bethlehem University
Ireland Aid, formerly
Irish Aid, has been one of the major donors to the University
since 1988. Their support focuses on six programs: Occupational
Therapy, Physiotherapy, The Community Midwifery Program, The
Neonatal Nursing Program, Water Quality Research and Education
Faculty initiatives. In 2000, Ireland Aid funded the construction
of “Turathuna,” the Center for Palestinian Heritage
of the Bethlehem University Library.

Friends of Bethlehem University in the Holy Land
On
December 13th, the “Friends of Bethlehem University in the
Holy Land” held the second annual Benefit Dinner for an overflow
number of guests at the American Colony Hotel, Jerusalem. Scholarship
donation were announced by: USAID, ANERA, CRS, CHF, CARE, and AED.
The US Consulate provided a financial grant for BU’s technology
program, and Dr. Salwa Khoury, member of the International Board
of Regents, provided a generous donation for the Faculty of Business.
The “Friends of Bethlehem University” sold the tickets,
provided raffle prizes and sponsored several tickets for clergy
and religious. At the end of the evening a special plaque was awarded
to Mr. David Muirhead, Chairman, for organizing the dinner and for
all his efforts on behalf of Bethlehem University.
New International Linkage for Bethlehem University
Professor Dino Guerritore, Coordinator of the International
Relations Commission, La Supienza University in Rome, and Brother
Vincent sign a cooperation agreement between Euro-Arab Universities.
