The Faculty of Education offers a variety of programs designed
to meet the needs of particular groups. In the field of Teacher
Preparation baccalaureate programs are offered in Pre-School Teaching,
Classroom Teaching, and Subject Area Teaching. Teaching Diplomas
in Secondary Education are also offered for those who already
hold a degree, but require additional preparation for teaching.
In addition, the Clinical Supervision program is offered for practitioners
in the fields of Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Midwifery who are
responsible for the training of undergraduates. The Department
of Rehabilitation Studies offers B.S. degrees in Physiotherapy
and Occupational Therapy.
The program of the Faculty of Education at Bethlehem University
is designed to help the student move from rote-based learning
to active learning. It proposes education as development.
The Faculty has an active out-reach program integrally linked
with its academic program. The out-reach program is based at the
Abdul Rahman Zu’rub-Education Development Center (AZ-EDC),
which offers two programs: The Community Out-Reach Program and
the School Out-Reach Program.
The Faculty of Education serves both in-service and pre-service
students.
