REGISTERED NURSE PROGRAM

Description of the program of Diploma in Nursing

The Faculty of Nursing offers an upgrading program for practical nurses (nurses who have graduated from a 24 month nursing study program). The main purpose of this program is to provide a professional education for practical nurses in order to improve the quality of nursing care. This is a part-time program that takes two years (6 semesters and a total of 52 credits) to complete. After earning this diploma, the graduate can apply to the BSN program.

Criteria for Admission:

  • Tawjihi 60% and above.
  • Two year Diploma in Nursing.
  • At least two years of clinical experience.
  • Satisfactory knowledge of English.
  • Passing the entrance exam which assesses academic Nursing ability.

Admission Process:

Advertising for this program is done in the local newspapers and with letters to Palestinian health institutions. Each candidate will be interviewed by a selection panel from the Nursing Faculty.
