A very old dowry hat made of cotton, embroidered in silk and covered with Turkish coins. Extended from the side panels are silver chains to which are attached pieces of ‘amber and silver. Across the forehead are coral beads and silver pendants, suspended from short chains. The headdresses were made commercially by Bethlehem women for the brides in the villages of Hebron. قبعة قديمة مصنوعة من القطن، استخدمت كمهر للعروس. مطرزة بالحرير ومغطاة بقطع نقدية عثمانية. يمتد من جوانب الطاقية سلاسل فضية في اطرافها قطع نقدية بالاضافة الى العقيق والعمبر حيث ينزل منها سلاسل فضية قصيرة مع تعاليق. كانت نساء بيت لحم تشتغلهن للعرائس في قرى الخليل. هذه القطعة معروضة في مركز تراثنا في المكتبة
