The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability hosted an interactive educational activity on Friday, 17 January 2025, as part of its weekly children’s program. This session focused on aromatic plants and their uses in everyday life. The children had the chance to prepare aromatic playdough using plants from the institute’s botanical garden, such as lavender, rosemary, and fennel.
As part of the activity, the children shaped the playdough into insects and flowers inspired by the nature of Palestine. Through this hands-on experience, the participants learned about the role of aromatic plants and the variety of insects and flowers in the region.
The aim of the activity was to provide children with a practical understanding of biodiversity, while encouraging them to appreciate and care for their environment.
