Bethlehem University is proud of its Software Engineering graduates, who participated in the 1st International Alumni Conference: Empowering Employability in the Era of Artificial Intelligence, held at the University of Sharjah on 20–23 January 2025.
Two teams of our talented graduates represented Bethlehem University under the mentorship of Dr. Suhail Odeh, showcasing their innovative senior projects and making remarkable impressions on the international stage.
The team of Alaa Abuzer, Qamar Zoughier, and Shahd Ghayadah received special recognition as their project, SignScribe: Innovative Solutions for Arabic Sign Language Translation and Education, was ranked among the top three projects of the conference. This groundbreaking project addresses the critical need for real-time Arabic sign language translation and educational tools, offering transformative solutions to communication barriers faced by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
The second team, consisting of Mohammed Abu Salh and Osama Ghneem, presented their project, Class2Code: Bridging Theory and Practice in Software Development Education. This innovative platform bridges the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, equipping students with essential skills to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving tech industry. Both teams received commendation from attendees and judges for their impactful contributions.
This participation was made possible through a generous gift secured by the Advancement Office from the EOHSJ- Canada Toronto Lieutenancy. Their support has been instrumental in ensuring that our students have opportunities to demonstrate the exceptional quality of education at Bethlehem University.
The conference provided an incredible opportunity for our graduates to showcase their skills, network with industry professionals, and gain insights into the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and technology.
These achievements highlight Bethlehem University’s commitment to academic excellence and its mission to empower students to make meaningful contributions to society.
