Discovering Biodiversity Through Eggs: Easter Fun at PIBS

On Friday, 11 April 2025, the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) Bethlehem University held its weekly children’s activity, this time with a special Easter twist that celebrated the wonders of nature through the theme of eggs.

Children explored the incredible variety of animals that lay eggs, including fish, frogs, birds, and reptiles. They learned where each type of animal hides or lays its eggs, what eggs are made of, and how their colors, shapes, and sizes can be so different across species. These fun discoveries helped spark conversations about biodiversity and how each creature is uniquely adapted to its environment.

To make the learning even more exciting, the session ended with a joyful egg hunt and creative egg-coloring activities inspired by nature. These hands-on activities helped children apply what they learned in a playful and memorable way.

This activity is part of PIBS’s ongoing effort to nurture curiosity, raise environmental awareness, and help children connect with the natural world in fun, engaging ways.
