On Monday, 28 April 2025, students from Bethlehem University’s Bachelor of Arts program in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage visited the Palestine Museum of Natural History as part of their Fauna and Flora course. Accompanied by their professor, Dr. Omar Dar Issa, the students explored the museum’s diverse exhibits, which showcase Palestine’s rich variety of plants and animals.
The tour highlighted the ecological and cultural significance of local species, many of which are deeply rooted in Palestinian history and heritage. The students also discussed ongoing conservation efforts aimed at protecting Palestine’s biodiversity, which faces increasing challenges from urbanization and climate change.
This visit is part of the museum’s ongoing mission to connect cultural heritage with environmental conservation, helping students understand the vital relationship between the natural world and Palestinian heritage.
