On Thursday, 8 May 2025, Bethlehem University proudly hosted its Annual Career Day on campus, generously sponsored by Arab Bank. This long-standing tradition brought together a dynamic community of current students, recent graduates, and nearly 40 companies and institutions from across a wide array of sectors, all working toward one goal: connecting education to employment.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Mohammad Awad, Dean of Students, welcomed participants and emphasized the significance of Career Day in supporting students’ transition from academic life to the professional world. He noted that Bethlehem University is deeply committed not only to academic excellence but also to nurturing the holistic development of its students—preparing them to be confident, ethical, and skilled contributors to their communities and beyond. Dr. Awad expressed sincere gratitude to Arab Bank for their continued partnership and generous sponsorship, which made the event possible.
Representing Arab Bank, Mr. Mohammad Eid, Director of the Southern Region Branches, addressed the audience with remarks underscoring the value of collaborative efforts between the financial sector and higher education institutions. He reaffirmed Arab Bank’s dedication to empowering Palestinian youth through economic opportunities and practical training.
Career Day served as a powerful platform for Bethlehem University students and graduates to network with prospective employers, learn about job and internship openings, and engage in direct conversations with industry leaders. These connections help build the bridge between classroom learning and real-world success—an essential part of the University’s mission.
To ensure students were well-prepared, the Deanship of Students Office held a series of career readiness workshops in the weeks leading up to the event. These workshops focused on resume writing, interview techniques, and effective self-presentation, providing students with the tools to showcase their potential with confidence and professionalism.
Since its inception in 1995, Career Day has remained one of Bethlehem University’s flagship initiatives to foster career development and strengthen the relationship between academia and the labor market. It reflects the University’s enduring mission to empower young Palestinians through transformative education and practical engagement.
