Extracurricular Activities and Community Educational Service at the Frères School Kindergarten

As part of the ongoing community educational  activities led by Bethlehem University, the Faculty of Education and the Arabic Language Department, under the supervision of Dr. Ziyad Bani Shamsa, organized a field educational activity at the Frères Kindergarten with the support and collaboration of the Kindergarten Director, Ms. Marléne Bandak, and the kindergarten teachers.

The activity began with educational drama utilizing multimedia in education. “Winter and Spring and the Drama of ‘The Word Seller'” was performed accompanied with songs utilized as methods of teaching the Arabic language, by the students of the Faculty of Education.

The activity included a story about cleanliness and water, where our students enacted the role of water in life and posed interactive questions to engage with the children.

The activity concluded with a motivational intellectual competition entitled “The Zoo,” where our students were engaged both cognitively and physically. They drew smiles and expressions on the children’s faces and distributed gifts and rewards that brought joy to their hearts and encouraged them to learn through acting and drama.

Ms. Bandak appreciated this partnership with Bethlehem University, which aims to enhance learning and expression among young children, integrate university students into the educational community, and motivate them towards learning through community service.
