On Monday, 5 May 2025, the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) at Bethlehem University completed the preliminary site inspection for the renovation of the Palestine Museum of Natural History. The inspection brought together the Bethlehem University team, along with engineers, architects, and contractors, to assess progress and coordinate the next steps.
With this important milestone, the project has entered its final phase. Renovation work is on track to be completed by 15 May 2025, and the museum is set to open by the end of the year.
As the only natural history museum of its kind in the West Bank, the newly renovated museum will provide a dynamic space for learning, research, and environmental awareness. It will welcome students, researchers, and the wider community to explore Palestine’s natural heritage.
PIBS looks forward to sharing more updates and inviting the university community to visit and experience the new museum soon.
