Honoring Student Leadership and Engagement at Zbierski Library

On Friday, 16 May 2025, Bethlehem University’s Zbierski Library brought the curtain down on this year’s student activity sessions with a warm and joyful gathering.

Library Director Ms. Elizabeth D’Souza opened the event by introducing and welcoming Academic Vice President Prof. Iman Saca and the participating students. She set a positive tone, highlighting the spirit of collaboration and student initiative.

Prof. Saca addressed the students with heartfelt and inspiring words, encouraging them to be a blessing to others, to stay curious and to remain engaged in learning and in life. Her approachable and lively presence fostered a sense of connection and celebration.

She shared a gist of her life experience and her deep desire to offer the knowledge and wisdom as a gift to the Palestinian people after spending decades in Chicago.

The key highlight of the event was the awarding of certificates to students who had taken the lead in facilitating the year’s activities. Their efforts and enthusiasm were recognized and appreciated.

The event also featured a PowerPoint presentation showcasing snapshots of all the student-led activities — a visual celebration of creativity, collaboration, and commitment.

The event concluded with a meaningful exchange between Prof. Iman Saca, staff and students, along with light refreshments and friendly conversations — a fitting and heartwarming close to a fruitful academic year.

Ms. Elizabeth thanked Ms. Vera Koussa and Ms. Sana Salsa for their constant support throughout the year.
