Faculty Member Present AI Research at International Healthcare Technology Conference in Istanbul

Ms. Sherin Hazboun, lecturer in the Software Engineering Department, participated in the 15th International Conference on Current and Future Trends of Information and Communication Technologies in Healthcare (ICTH 2025), held from 28–30 October 2025 at the Melas Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. She presented a research paper titled “AI-Powered Posture Assessment and Physiotherapy Recommendation Using Computer Vision and Deep Learning.”

The study was a collaborative effort between Ms. Hazboun and three recently graduated Bethlehem University students, Tala Al Dibs, Nour Alhuda Abu Nassar, and Zainab Atwa, who completed their degrees last semester.

The research introduces an innovative artificial intelligence model that uses computer vision and deep learning to assess human posture and provide automated physiotherapy recommendations. This approach aims to improve the accessibility and efficiency of rehabilitation and physical therapy.

Ms. Hazboun’s presentation received strong interest from conference participants, highlighting Bethlehem University’s growing role in advancing interdisciplinary research at the intersection of healthcare and technology.

The conference, organized by the ICTH Scientific Committee, gathered global experts, researchers, and practitioners to discuss the latest innovations and challenges in digital health, artificial intelligence, and healthcare informatics.

Through such accomplishments, Bethlehem University continues to strengthen its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and global engagement, positioning its students and faculty as active contributors to the future of science and technology in Palestine and beyond.
