Bethlehem University Nursing Students Promote Hand Hygiene Awareness at St. Joseph School

As part of its mission to promote health education and community engagement, the Tarek Ahmed Juffali Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences at Bethlehem University organized an educational activity on the importance of handwashing at St. Joseph School, under the supervision of Ms. Despina Shaheen.

The initiative aimed to raise school students’ awareness of the essential role that handwashing plays in maintaining overall health and supporting a safe school environment. Second-year nursing students delivered practical demonstrations and explanatory sessions on the correct handwashing techniques based on international health standards, along with simple explanations highlighting the importance of integrating this habit into daily routines.

The Faculty highlighted that such community-based educational initiatives not only enhance students’ practical skills but also strengthen Bethlehem University’s commitment to linking academic learning with service to society, fostering a generation of health professionals dedicated to public well-being.
