(Christian Media Center) September 18, 2015 – During the European Episcopal Conference held September 11-16, 2015, in the Holy Land, the bishops paid a visit to charitable institutions in Bethlehem, including the University, as well as the Crèche, an institute for abandoned children.

As part of the program, the prelates visited the Crèche of the Holy Family, a charitable institution that takes in abandoned children. There they learned about the work of the nuns of St. Vincent de Paul’s Daughters of Charity and about the affection that these children receive from them.

H.E. Mons. Zelimir Puljic

President of the Episcopal Conference of Croatia

“Let’s go back to our countries full of hope and joy, for we have seen the sacred places where Jesus was born, where He suffered and preached; for we met with these people who are Jesus’ cousins, who continue this journey in this Holy Land.”

At the end of their journey, the bishops attended the Eucharistic celebration at the Church of St. Catherine, in Bethlehem, where ecclesiastical authorities from the Holy Land and various religious communities were present.
