The New Zealander who heads Bethlehem University in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, is speaking in Wellington tomorrow about providing education where curfews, travel restrictions and military checkpoints are all daily challenges faced by students and staff.

Dr Peter Bray, a De La Salle brother from Auckland, has been Vice-Chancellor of Bethlehem University - the oldest university in the West Bank, since 2009.

Before taking up the position, Brother Bray was the director of the Wellington Catholic Education Centre for eleven years. He has a doctorate in leadership from the University of San Diego and has taught leadership in universities and educational institutions around the world.

Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand and the Catholic Bishops Committee for Interfaith Relations are hosting the free talk tomorrow evening at St Josephs Church in Wellington and welcome members of the public to attend.

Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand in partnership with the New Zealand Ministry Foreign Affairs and Trade, supports health clinics in the West Bank and Gaza regions of the Occupied Palestinian Territories, where medical treatment is difficult to access due to poverty, travel restrictions and checkpoints.
