Teaching Diploma (TD) program is offered to in-service and pre-service teachers who have previously a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree in a teaching subject.
The purpose of this program is to provide students with basic knowledge, skills, competencies needed for teaching learning process. The students enroll in a relevant Higher Education Diploma in Methods of teaching Arabic, English, Mathematics, Science, History and Geography and Christian Education.

At the end of the program, students are expected to be able to demonstrate:
Knowledge and Understanding
- awareness of Palestinian education system, its philosophy and policies, laws, regulations and curriculum
- knowledge of the principles of scientific research and inquiry
- awareness of the dynamics of changes and development in the teaching profession
- determine the different developmental characteristics , attributes of growth of upper basic stage students which related to educational theories
- comprehensive creative, intellectual reasoning and critical thinking skills
- Advanced knowledge of appropriate new teaching /learning and assessment strategies.
- advanced knowledge of appropriate new teaching/learning technologies
- awareness of leadership and communication skills and classroom management
- identify the procedures that serve as bases of the learner-centered approach in learning-teaching process.
- understanding of the school life context and its effect on teaching learning process and school function
- knowledge of different counseling and guidance strategies and their application in the educational context
- deep awareness of human rights, social justice, equality/equity and cultural diversity
Intellectual and Practical Skills
At the end of the program, students are expected to be able to:
- analyze and enrich the textbooks content according to different standards related to educational theories.
- employ different and appropriate teaching-learning strategies, teaching-learning technologies and educational aids, assessment and classroom management techniques.
- integrate real life resources in his/her teaching/learning settings and link theories with real-life situation
- design his/her own view of teaching with high level standard that matches the quality assurance criteria
- provide a supportive environmental aspects that promote active learning & Support pupil’s independence
- employ the skills of creative, critical & reflective thinking in the planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up processes
- employ modern techniques based on counseling & guidance strategies to interpret and help students to solve their socio-psych and educational problems
- integrate his specialty subject with different subjects & fields through diverse contexts
- sense and cope with situations where human rights violation takes place
- link theories in real-life situations
- Use technology as a means of effective learning and teaching resource
- conduct qualitative and quantitative research with respect to scientific criteria and procedures
