Mission and Objectives
We, at Bethlehem University, believe that nursing is a professional discipline based on arts and sciences. Nurses operate as an integral part of an open system within the community in which the human being is perceived as a whole being with biopsychosocial and spiritual needs.
We value the role of learning as a lifelong process toward personal development and nursing competence. The goals of nursing education is to foster the development of those habits of thought and actions which prepare nurses to offer safe and significant health services to the community.
Nurses are taught within a comprehensive education program. The nurses will provide care following a holistic model in which they can promote and maintain a state of wellness as well as care for the ill, disabled, and those approaching death.
The Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences at Bethlehem University seeks to admit students who have the personal qualities of care and concern for people, a willingness to learn and apply creative nursing services, as well as a commitment to practicing nursing in areas to professionally offer significant health services to patients as well as their families. It offers its students a liberal arts education in addition to a broad range of theoretical courses necessary to prepare the student to become a competent practicing nurse, as well as serving as role models for others in health care.
