Bethlehem University has signed an agreement for its 100th endowed scholarship with Mr. Naim Jadue Ganem of Chile.

Brother Denis Loft, Vice President for Advancement met and welcomed Mr. Jadue who visited campus during his visit to Palestine last Thursday.

Mr. Jadue’s endowed scholarship was made in memory of his grandparents; Bishara Hanna Jadallah Hadweh and his beloved wife Sara Bishara Sarras, who left Beit Jala in 1952 for a faraway country for a brighter future.

“I am a second generation Chilean Palestinian, and with this scholarship I have the opportunity to give back to my Palestinian roots through education the most important tool a person can have, empowering women and men to work for Palestine,” Mr. Jadue said.

“I have seen the important contribution the De La Salle Brothers make to education and I hope their work will continue to flourish through Bethlehem University in Palestine.”

Mr. Naim Jadue Ganem is a graduate of Ingeniero Comercial from the Universidad Diego Portales in Ingeniero Comercial, has an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a General Management Certificate from Cambridge University with extensive experience in the financial and investment markets.

A permanent named endowed scholarship, named in honor or in memory of someone, is a “forever scholarship,” as Bethlehem University invests the gift and uses the pooled interest earned to provide the endowed scholarship each and every year into the future. Endowed Scholarships are awarded to students who have financial need. For more information please click here.
