The Department of Social Sciences at Bethlehem University has partnered with the Department of Social Sciences at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences of North Rhine – Westphalia (KatHO) in Germany for an academic exchange program that will continue for the coming 15 years.

The Department’s Chairperson and program coordinator, Dr. Ferdoos Abed Rabbo Al-Issa, and Lecturer, Ms. Nabila Daqqaq, accompanied 15 students to the Cologne campus on the exchange program beginning of June this year for 10 days.

The students attended lectures at KatHO on key issues including empowerment, solidarity, and identity in social work. The delegation also visited German institutions including the municipality of Cologne.

Dr. Annetta Melar, the program coordinator at KatHO, will also accompany students from Germany in 2020 to visit Bethlehem University.

This growing partnerships between Bethlehem University and international academic institutions offer our students the chance to obtain experiences from abroad.
