The Office of the Dean of Research and the Research Council organized a webinar on Found Poetry on Thursday, 25 February 2021, via Google Meet.

As part of the Research and Creativity colloquia for the 2020-2021 academic year, Dr. Fadel Alsawayfa, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education, presented the results of his research project titled, “Found Poetry: An arts-based method for developing the practicum programs in education.”

Dr. Alsawayfa examined preservice teachers’ perceptions of practicum in lower and early childhood programs at Bethlehem University’s Faculty of Education. He also discussed the advantages of using “found poetry” as an arts-based method in qualitative studies to better understand preservice teachers’ perceptions and experiences of practicum.

This study was supported by an Internal Research grant from Bethlehem University.

This series of colloquia aims to showcase faculty research, introduce its sources of funding, encourage critical and constructive exchanges about research, and provide opportunities for researchers to network and form interdisciplinary research clusters.
