Bethlehem University, Pontifical Mission Sign Agreement

Bethlehem University signed an agreement with the Pontifical Mission on 24 August 2021 to supply electricity generated by solar panels, funded by the German Misereor Foundation.

Vice Chancellor Brother Peter Bray said “What the Pontifical Mission is doing with this project is helping us significantly to sustain our budget, and for this, we are incredibly grateful.”

Regional Director of the Pontifical Mission in Jerusalem Mr. Joseph Hazboun said “we will cover almost a third of Bethlehem University’s electricity needs, depending on the space available on the roofs.”

Two other similar agreements were signed with the Terra Sancta Schools and the Frères of Beit Hanina School.
