Fadel Alsawayfa is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at Bethlehem University. He holds a Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD) from the University of Chester, England, a Master of Arts in Comparative Education from the Institute of Education, University of London, a Higher Diploma in Drama in Education from the Qattan Foundation, and a Bachelor of English Language and Literature from Hebron University. He has previously taught primary and secondary school pupils. He is particularly interested in empowering student teachers by helping them to develop their characters and foster positive attitudes toward learners as active participants and adopting creative teaching and learning pedagogies. His emerging research interests are in the fields of arts-based research methods, drama in education, storytelling, teacher education, creative pedagogy, education and conflict, informal education, and cultural education.
