Salam Awad

Instructor A

Graduated from Schmidt’s Girls College in Jerusalem in 1985. Started my Bachelor degree in Nursing at Bethlehem University and graduated in 1990 due to the fact that all universities (including Bethlehem University) were closed by Israeli military forces because of the first intifada. Worked as a staff nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Jerusalem from 1990 until 1992, after which I had an Amid East scholarship (through Bethlehem University) for a Master degree in Nursing Education at Villanova University in Pennsylvania, USA. I came back in 1994 and started my career as a nursing instructor at the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences at Bethlehem University. In 2007, I assumed the position of coordinator at the Qubeibeh Nursing Program until 2014, after which I returned to Bethlehem University main campus. I teach Fundamentals of Nursing, Adult Health Nursing, and First Aid and Personal Safety, as well as supervising our students during their clinical training.
